Vista Collina Hotel Review, Napa Valley, California
Vista Collina doesn’t have a traditional sit-down restaurant onsite, but that doesn’t mean you won’t eat well. At breakfast, upscale market Fivetown Grocery offers breakfast sandwiches with fillings including eggs, country sausage, bacon and cured ham, served on everything from pretzel buns, croissants, English muffins and challah buns.
Muesli, yogurt, a selection of pastries, and hot drinks are also available. For lunch and dinner, gourmet sandwiches, made with house-smoked meats, take centre stage. Possibilities include: house-smoked chicken breast with muenster and brown mustard aioli served on a Dutch Crunch roll, house smoked brisket with cracked pepper aioli, horseradish cheddar, and pickled red onion, served on a buttermilk and potato bun, and fennel salami with prosciutto, mortadella, Calabrian chili aioli, and smoked mozzarella, served on house ciabatta.
Picnic tables are available in front of the market, but the grocery’s Lawn Butler can put together a picnic on the property lawn with all the fixings including sandwiches, salads, wine, chairs, and a blanket. In-room dining is available 24-hours a day. Those looking for a more traditional dining experience can dine at Siena restaurant, located across the street at Vista Collina’s sister property, The Meritage Resort and Spa.
